Students Present at Chemical Society Research Symposium
On April 18, 2018, Dr. Pat Jokiel and Dr. Brad Bauer, from the Chemistry program, accompanied a group of The College of Saint Rose students to the 10th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium sponsored by the Eastern New York Section of the American Chemical Society. Five Saint Rose students joined other undergraduates from the Capital Region to present original research at this event. Presenting authors from Saint Rose were: Amie Burnell, David Judd, Samantha Mumford, Lauren Zakrzewski, and Kevin Curtis. In addition to the presenting authors, several Saint Rose science students attended this event, including Comfort Obeng, recipient of a Summer Undergraduate Research Grant.

Student art featured in "Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition 2018"
Artwork by many student artists will be on display in SUNY Oneonta's Martin-Mullen Art Gallery for the "Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition 2018" in the Fine Arts Center from April 5 to May 12. A reception for the artists along with live music and food is planned for Thursday, April 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Featured art works were chosen from an open jury process and works entered by the art faculty. Painting, drawing, sculpture, digital print, digital video, and an assortment of mixed media make up this year's offerings. All are invited to attend the reception and the exhibition.

32 SUNY Oneonta Students Studying Abroad in Fall 2017
A total of 32 SUNY Oneonta students are studying abroad this fall through semester-long and academic-year programs in 13 countries. SUNY Oneonta offers study abroad and exchange programs in Finland, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom through the Office of International Education, plus international internship opportunities and short-term, faculty-led field courses abroad. Oneonta students also have access to more than 600 study abroad and exchange programs through the SUNY network.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 16 states and countries.Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass through the Pillars ceremony on Aug. 30, the night before classes begin.
